I literally ran the gamut of bedding material types and these truly are the softest bedding I have tried. My last duvet cover was 1500 TC Eyptian cotton and they became scratchy and the duvet itself was heavy. These sheets are very soft and light. I live in the south east so it gets hot in the summer and these sheets have kept me nice and cool. I've never tried bamboo sheets/bedding and I don't think I will use anything else. The material is similar to silk but I think its a bit lighter and does have a bit of a shine. I have not had them for a long time so I can't testify to their long term durability but we have dogs in and out of the bed all the time so I'm sure we'll figure that out quickly but to date they have held up strong.
