We were hesitant about buying this piece after reading some mixed reviews, but are very happy with it. We were looking for something to go under the TV and mantle to store a dvd player, movies, video games, etc. and a standard TV stand/entertainment center wouldn't have worked in the space. The dimensions of this piece were perfect for what we needed, so we took a chance and ordered it. The color was not quite what we were looking for - so I painted it bright white and it came out great! I don't have any complaints about the quality, including the plastic in the doors- you can't tell its not glass unless you touch it.
