We bought this area rug as an accent piece over our existing wall to wall carpeting. Looks great, but when you put a coffee table on it, it tends to bunch up. So if this is your plan for this rug, I suggest buying 2 sided carpet tape to keep it in place. We did and it works fine. As for quality, it is great considering the reasonable price.
