I'm very pleased with this fountain. Indoors it only needed to be filled once a week. I've since placed it outdoors (I live near Phoenix, AZ), and it goes through over a gallon of water a day during the summer (it should be filled every other day but can go 3 days). It appears to hold about 5 gallons total.It needs to be taken apart and cleaned (is heavy) about once a month if kept outside. It's a bit of a pain, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. This fountain was about $180 a year ago). I think they're a steal for $120.
