I love these dishes! They have a shiny glaze to them that you may not see in the photo but this does not detract from how beautiful they are. I have had them for about 6 months and I have not had a single problem with them. I have run them through the dishwasher many, many times and they have held up well. I love the coffee mugs as they are easy to hold when I am not so agile on early mornings:) The plates are great and like the other reviewer, I love the bowls. We eat cereal just about everyday in these and they are a perfect bowl for soup, pasta, rice...whatever. I have used them in the microwave many times and I have not had any issues with them being used in there. These are a sturdy set of dishes and very beautiful:)
