Usually, I am skeptical when it comes to "mass produced" desks and other furniture, but I was very pleased with this product. First of all, Free Shipping. It took about 5 days but it was worth the wait.

It comes in two packages. The assembly instructions were accurate and very helpful (picture-wise is what I prefer). Each different piece of hardware was in its own package and labeled, as well as each piece of desk labeled with the part number for reference to the instructions. It even came with a bag of spare hardware in case you lose something or if the manufacturer is short (which seems to happen with others). It comes with a stubby Phillips screwdriver (the only tool you need), but I would recommend using your own screwdriver that is a little bit longer just because it makes the work easier for how many screws you have to turn. The "wood" is a laminate which covers the parts completely so it looks as "natural" as it can; it covers the holes completely in some places, but they are easy to see where you need to put hardware...they get covered anyways. They even slit the laminate where the cardboard goes for the bottom of the drawers so you don't tear that up upon assembly; I ran a knife along the edges again myself to be safe.

Overall, very well done. I love the finish and style! Cymax was a good shipper, and Techni Mobili has made a quality product.
