Great size for a part vessel! 2.5 gallon ball lock keg has a pressure relief built into the lid. Note from manufacturer: Disassembly of new kegs voids the warranty and can cause damage to the keg. It is not necessary to remove posts on new kegs for cleaning. Cleaning of a new keg can be accomplished by blowing sanitizer through the system while it is pressurized. Keep in mind the following: 1. All new kegs are designed to NSF standards for food safe cleaning and are not designed or meant to be disassembled. 2. If you choose to disassembly the kegs and void the warranty there are some precautions to consider: a. Removal of posts by manual or power tools with too much torque can cause the stainless steel to gall effectively seizing the post to the keg. Posts must be removed slowly and if tension is felt they should be screwed back on before backing off again. b. Since the posts are designed with an o-ring seal not much tension is required to reseal the connection upon reassembly 3. If you have experienced galling removal of the post will be extremely difficult and may destroy the keg

These are great little Cornelius kegs made of top quality materials.
They are laser etched with the NSF logo and a unique serial number.
The rubber handles and feet are durable and non-marring.
On the first pressure test they held 25 psi with no leaks for 24 hours.
The liquid pickup tube sits in small well for complete emptying.

One word of caution, the opening for the lid is die punched and may be sharp!
2 out of 4 had to be dressed with emery cloth to remove the sharp edge.
