This technologically advanced tester has a replaceable pH electrode cartridge with an extendable cloth junction as well as an EC/TDS graphite electrode that resists contamination by salts and other substances. This gives these meters a greatly extended life. Your tester no longer needs to be thrown away when the pH sensor is exhausted.

Bought this item once it leaked even though it says waterproof. Received a second from the store and it could not calibrate with solution, brought it to some water specialist to see if I could have done anything wrong but no the unit is defunct. Hanna should be ashamed to sell so many expensive units that are bad. I will take it back to the store and NEVER buy a Hanna product again! Seems to be made in Romania the same as the cheap Milwaukee hand helds. Perhaps they are made by the same company in which case Hanna is taking us all for a ride, as the Milwaukee unit is only 20.00. The Milwaukee unit has the same issues but for 20.00 you can toss it. Hanna on the other hand is charging almost 200.00 for their units which have more complaints then good.
