Product Description
Sanus merges form and function with Steel Foundations speaker supports. Steel Foundations offer a great combination of eye-pleasing aesthetics, ear-pleasing performance, and budget-pleasing value. Available in black, the bases are composed of a contoured 10 gauge steel plate. the bases are anchored to two 2" diameter pillars that rise to a steel top plate. The pillars and top plate have a black powder-coated finish for lasting beauty. The steel base plate provides a solid platform to minimize the speaker's loss of energy and optimize sound reproduction. Adjustable carpet spikes improve sound quality and add stability. Rubber feet are included for wood or tile floors. The stealthy pillars minimize diffraction and may be filled with shot or sand for added mass. Two pillars are used for added strength and rigidity. All models feature a unique resonance-damping ring that is sandwiched between the top plate and pillars. The steel top plate includes both the Sanus' adjustable speaker isolation studs and neoprene isolation pads. The Sanus Foundation Mount system is available to easily and securely attach bolt-style speakers to the top plate. Precision allen-head machine bolts allow higher torque capability for maximum structural integrity. Specs: Price is for single stand. This product is as advertised. The construction is great with very little error tolerances. The stand took 30 minutes to assemble. The only gripe is that the spanner that is provided is very flimsy. But then so are most of the tools that come with DIY assembly products. I am using it in my home theater room and I have found it to work well. I have had a Sanus LCD TV stand (SANUS SYSTEM Flat Panel TV Stand Furniture ( Platinum )) which I bought in 2007. Its still in great shape despite three moves. Sanus products have always worked great for me.Was
