Introduction

All items in the Le Creuset stoneware range are original designs and have been hand-crafted, making each piece unique. Due to this uniqueness, there may be slight variations from piece to piece.

Le Creuset Stoneware is safe for use in the microwave, freezer, refrigerator, dishwasher, oven and broiler. The maximum oven-safe temperature is 500 degrees F / 260 degrees C.

The enameled surface is easy to clean and scratch-resistant. The enamel is completely hygienic and will not absorb odors or flavors. Le Creuset Stoneware is extremely strong and durable, and resists staining, chipping and cracking. The handles, knobs and rims have been designed for a secure, easy-to-hold grip.

Cleaning and Care

DO NOT use any Stoneware piece on the stovetop or any other direct heat source.

OVEN: Maximum oven-safe temperature is 500 degrees F / 260 degrees C. Use oven mitts for lifting at all times.

BROILER: When using under a broiler allow a gap of no less than 2-1/2 inches between the rim of the dish and the heat source.

MICROWAVE: Handles may become hot during prolonged microwave use, especially if the handles are enclosed with plastic wrap. Cover just the open top of the dish, leaving the handles exposed.

FREEZER-TO-OVEN USE: Do not place a frozen dish of food in a preheated oven. Place the frozen dish in a cold oven and set the temperature, allowing the dish and oven to heat together. Before serving always check that the center of the food is completely and uniformly hot.

CLEANING: Before the first use, wash the dish in hot, soapy water, and rinse and dry thoroughly. For most day-to-day cleaning, cool the dish for a few minutes before washing and drying, or wash in the dishwasher, allowing the full cycle to complete. Never leave a dish fully immersed in water. For removal of stubborn residues allow the dish to cool, fill with warm, soapy water and allow it to soak for 10 to 20 minutes. Wash in the usual way using a plastic brush or scouring pad if necessary.

The two items I have just received are now stamped 'Made in Thailand' doesn't quite have the same ring to it somehow.

Upon using this casserole for the first time, it made a loud cracking sound when I gradually added a room-temperature liquid when it was hot. On closer inspection, a hair-line crack has appeared running across the width of the casserole on both sides. I am not surprised given that the item is now manufactured in Thailand and feels half the weight of my existing French made Le Creuset cookware.

Bought for my 1 year old girl. Good height, pretty stable front to back. Biggest con for me is the thin layer of foam that is supposed to make the chair feel as padded as the picture make it out to be... (seat padding is good, not enough padding in the arms and back). Sharp R-1211 1-1/2-Cubic Feet 1100-Watt Over-the-Counter Microwave, White Review

First let me explain why I purchased the Sharp "OTC". We recently updated our kitchen and decided on a standard hood vent for above our stove. When it came time to replace our Microwave that had been sitting on the counter, we wanted one that was a "space saver", i.e. Over-the-counter. There were very few to choose from! So we decided to go with the sharp.

I have not been disappointed at all! I was originally concerned about the installation. It was a breeze. The sharp is a nice size microwave as well, not a compact.

As for the 5 stars I've given it, I have very little complaints.

Pros: Big & powerful. Fairly easy to install. Great price (as compaired to Over the Stove types). This model has many great features as well. Sensor reheating, presets for popcorn, frozen foods,..etc.

Cons: Sensor reheat over heats food just slightly. Some reheating features are slightly complicated to use, so I don't bother. (lots of button combinations that I can't seem to remember yet)

I wanted to update my entry for this microwave oven. The oven just stopped working. Timer would continue, but no fan or microwaves (cooking). I assumed it was an internal fuse or short. It was going to cost me a minimum of $150 or more, so I decided to just purchase another one. I still do like this Microwave oven very much. It is easy to use and cooks very well. I only wish it lasted more than it before giving up the ghost. That is why I lowered this rating to 4 stars. I do which there were more choices for an over the counter microwave. One bonus was that since I still had the mounting plate installed, putting the new in took under 3 minutes!

Balt Pop Adjustable Height Laptop Mobile Stand, Mahogany Review

I have been using this mobile desk for 8-12 hours per day for one full month now. I absolutely love it, so I figured it was time to write a review that might help someone else who's in the market for this type of product.

After combing through numerous reviews of mobile laptop desks/workstations, it seemed there was a lot of dissatisfaction with most models I saw on Amazon. The complaints are myriad; most have to do with poor adjustability, lack of stability, wobbling, shoddy quality, etc. All of these units were well under $100. With most things in life, you get what you pay for, and I figure laptop desks are no exception. I don't know what one would expect for $60.

I work at home. Because I needed a laptop workstation that is mobile, adjustable, stable and comfortable (I work for hours at a time), I really couldn't afford to waste my time and throw away $45-$80 on a piece of junk that would need to be replaced in 2 months or less. Though there were no Amazon reviews of this promising-looking desk, I was able to find 4 excellent reviews of this workstation on another site, though I purchased here. This unit costs more than most out there (except the fifteen hundred dollar Steelcase Airtouch) but after using this workstation, I can honestly say this item is totally worth its price and I would not hesitate to purchase another. My husband actually wants one now.

It was extremely easy to assemble and the instructions are very clear. The only error in the instructions is the direction to tighten screws using an Allen wrench. This is incorrect--a Phillips head screwdriver is what is actually needed.

The instructions suggest checking the screws at least once every 6 months and tightening if necessary. I view as a positive sign that the manufacturer (Balt) speaks about maintaining the unit in the long-term: this suggests that they actually expect it to last.

About the unit:
- It does NOT wobble--it's very stable.
- The pneumatic height adjustment lever works well, though when lowering the desktop, I need to push the desktop down with some force. The height is infinitely adjustable within its range of 21.25" - 31.25".
- The top spins 360 degrees in both directions, but it doesn't spin loosely; it would only spin if one actually intended for it to spin.
- The wheels work smoothly even on carpet and feature two locking casters.
- The wheels and base easily slide under the frame of my bed, though this is not usually where I work. I can also use it sitting on my couch, though I suppose YMMV depending on the build of your couch.
- The top surface easily supports my 15.3" laptop with inches of space left on both sides. Therefore it would support a much larger laptop as well. The top is 15.25" deep and 25.75" wide.

There are two finish options on this unit: Mahogany Wood Laminate, and black. I meant to order the black but I accidentally ordered the mahogany. I was afraid the mahogany laminate would look cheap, because wood laminate often does look cheap, in my experience. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that it looks quite nice and not at all cheap. The desktop features a gently curved beveled rounded edge. This desk looks classy.

The only thing that I wish were different: I wish it adjusted a little taller so it would be easier for a taller person to use when standing. If the height could be raised up to 36 or even 40 inches, it would be even better. Still, for the money, you can't beat this unit.

Get this, you won't regret it!
